Here are some of the more commonly asked questions we get about our commercial roofing services:

How do I know if I need a new roof?
You might need roofing repairs or a new roof system if you have persistent leaks; unexplained mold; flashing pulling away or lifting; open seams; or membrane failure.

How much does a new roof cost?
The cost depends on a variety of factors, including labor, materials, removing the old roof and repairs to the underlying structure.

How long should my roof last?
Again, this is a question that depends on variety of factors, like the type of roofing system, and the quality of the materials and installation. These factors determine whether your roof lasts 10 years or a lifetime.

My roof has blisters. Should I be concerned?
Yes! If your roof is blistering, it should be looked into ASAP.

How much insurance my roofing contractor have?
Roofing contractors should carry a $2-5 million liability policy and worker’s compensation for every person that steps on your roof.

Flat Roof Repairs

As your flat roof ages, repairs may be needed. You’ll have to decide if it’s worth constantly paying for flat roof repairs or having a new roof installed. Before you call a flat roofing company about getting a new roof, here are some things you can do about flat roof leaks.

Is this roof new? Then call the flat roofing contractor and have them fix the issue. If the roof is older, then you have one of three options to consider:

Fixing it yourself
Having another contractor handle the work
Install a new roof

First, put a tarp on the roof to prevent the spread of damages. You’ll then want to estimate the real cost of repair by doing some research. There are several remedies you can try before calling for help, like laying down new asphalt and fixing seams, but you want to be sure you are capable of doing the repairs. Flat roofs are different than regular roofs, and sometimes more different.

When it comes to leaks, it’s better to have the problem fixed sooner than later. A leak allowed to go on will mean costs down the road. If you ignore them, then interior damage will begin, soon followed by thousands of dollars in repair. Furniture and goods will be damaged, and the roof will begin deteriorating.
